Flotation 2016 – The 7th International Conference on Flotation for Water and Wastewater Systems
This year is the 40th anniversary of the first Flotation Conference hosted at Felixstowe, UK. Since 1976 there have been flotation conferences held in Orlando, London, Helsinki, Seoul, and New York City. DAF has become the clarification process-of-choice for impounded sources and hundreds of water treatment works have been built throughout the world. We would be very interested to hear how DAF has progressed around the world over the last four decades.
Ian Crossley (Chairman-Technical Program) and Prof. Pascal Guiraud (Conference Chairman) , invite you to submit abstracts for papers for the 7th International Conference on Flotation for Water and Waste Water Systems is to be held in the City of Toulouse, France between September 26th to 30th, 2016. Attached is the Call for Papers invitation and conference information.
The International Water Association (IWA) and the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) will be hosting the Flotation 2016 Conference on its campus. INSA is a short subway ride from the city center of Toulouse (La Ville Rose), a beautiful and ancient city located near the Mediterranean Sea and Pyrénées Mountains. Toulouse, being an important aerospace centre, is directly accessible by air from more than 80 cities in Europe and other parts of the world, but also by high speed train TGV from Paris, or AutoRoute for those traveling by car. The region around Toulouse is beautiful and includes such tourist attractions as the Lascaux Caves and Carcassonne. The conference program includes a tour to this medieval walled city followed by a dinner at L’Abbaye de Fontfroide.
This conference will present a state-of-the-art review of flotation technology with expert speakers from all over the world. The event is intended for engineers, scientists, technicians and operators who are involved in planning, design, construction, operation, and research of dissolved air flotation (DAF) and induced air flotation facilities. As a courtesy to international guests, this event will be conducted in the English language.
Abstracts for oral presentation of papers and posters should be submitted in electronic format, either as a Word document file or a PDF of no more than 500 words.
Please submit abstracts by April 4th, 2016 via the Flotation2016 website:
We look forward to seeing you at the conference and hearing your contribution to DAF technology and its application. The conference proceedings will be published.
